B Heard - overview
The Chamber of Commerce Southland is identified as the ‘VOICE’ of Southland Business
As a Chamber member you can speak with the volume of a collective voice and be heard above the rest.
You can have your say and representation to local and Central Government.
We represent the business community on a wide number of outside committees, boards, trusts, working, steering, and advisory groups
We represent the Southland business community through lobbying, advocacy, and representation.
When we make submissions or media statements we do so from a census of views or concerns from our members only. This is derived through member contact either to us from expressions made or from us by survey. Often a Chamber focus group will steer a submission or representation process and members should advise us if they are interested in becoming involved.
b
The Chamber is an ideal medium for direct communication with the legislation makers and their administrators.
Members often have the opportunity to interact with Members of Parliament and local elected representatives at workshops and in visitations.
