Chamber of Commerce Southland is affiliated to the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and industry (NZCCI) network of over 32 accredited regional and area Chambers.
| Chamber Southland is a body of business and professional people, working together in the interests of trade, industry, commerce, and the general community to make Southland a better place to do business. It represents those of us who are concerned about improving and promoting business and opportunities in our region. |
Our Mission is to inspire and influence business vitality.
We do this by positively influencing the environment in which we do business and by providing
opportunities, products and services that will improve the success and vitality of business.
Objects of the Chamber of Commerce Southland Include :
- To encourage and promote commerce, trade (both international and domestic), business, industry, tourism, education, research, development and employment in Southland.
- To represent the Southland business community in any important matter locally and internationally.
- To generally watch over and protect the interests, rights and privileges of members and to be responsible to the needs of members and their various interest groups.
- To encourage business networking among members.
- To advertise and develop Southland so as to attract trade, tourists, visitors and population.
- To encourage and actively promote the development of a market economy in which there is a minimal interference from central and local government.
