Trade Fair

Young Enterprise Trade Day 08.
On Friday August 15, Young Enterprise students from five schools making up Seven companies took part in anenjoyable day selling their products and service to the very supportive shoppers at The Warehouse.
They were:

Aurora College
Sweet Dreams
Verdon College
Mark-it
James Hargest College
Ready Set Go
Southland Boys High School
Found Enterprises
Southland Girls High School
Six Sparks

The Trade stands were judged by a secret shopper who will declare a winner and present a Trade Stand Trophy at the end of year Awards in October. All stands were of a very high standard and great deal of time and effort was exercised to promote their product/service.

Weather wise the day started a bit chilly but this did not deter early morning shoppers who were arriving while the students were still setting up. Later in the day, warmth was not only generated by the brilliant sun but also by the equally brilliant selling tactics of the companies.

No one was safe from the Southland Girls High team who had a roving trade fair stand. Verdon College’s Mark-it was also out from behind their trade stand and selling their bookmarks to people in the carpark.

Chris Diack from Classic Gold was also at The Warehouse transmitting from his mobile radio station and throughout the day interviewed all of the students. An experience that the students will never forget.
All the teams had a successful day and gained valuable exposure to a wider customer base with good sales being made on the day.
