Young Enterprise Trade Fair July Friday 30th 2004

The Young Enterprise Students spent Friday, 30th July 2004, selling their products to the general public from the shelter of the S.I.T. Arcade. Although a bit chilly, the students radiated plenty of warmth to potential customers passing through the arcade. No one was safe from the onslaught of greetings and offerings of entrapments to draw people into the stands. Westmount School experimented with three sandwich board disguises, handed out lollipops and put flyers under windscreen wipers around unsuspecting cars in the inner city. They also had a ‘modified’ Morris Minor attracting attention. Full marks for using innovative marketing techniques.

All the teams had a successful day and gained valuable exposure to a wider customer base. The Y.E.S. co-ordinator, Christine Pryde said she enjoyed the day as much as the students and was very proud to be associated with such enterprising young people.
