Young Enterprise – Mid Year Orals –
Thursday 19th May 2005 
The 2005 mid year orals were held at the Stairs
complex following a Chamber of Commerce BA5. This attracted a
larger number of attendees as many stayed on from the previous
event to see the presentations and awards. The participating School
enterprising business companies showcased their products being
judged for the ANZ ‘best stand award’, and the Directors presented
their Company’s profile being given 5 minutes per Company to
impress the judges for the Chamber of Commerce ‘Best oral
presentation award’
As in past years the presentation was of a high stranded although
some products were not as unique to the market as what they had
been in the past and The
Environment Southland award for ‘The most environmentally friendly
product or service’ was not presented because none of the companies
included environment concepts into their product, services or
strategies.
