Directors Training Day (E Day)
YOUNG ENTERPRISE E-DAY 2006
Young Enterprise is off to a great start with around 70 students from Southland Schools attending E-Day - our first event for the year on Friday 17th March.

Mark Wilson (YE National Director) presented the Young Enterprise Scheme and explained what its all about, including the exciting innovation.hub website where companies may have a ‘shop’ in the E-Market (to promote their product and make internet sales) we are also able to promote whats happening in our region and keep up to date with the YE news in other regions. Throughout the day students learned their personality types (to help them discover which director role they should play in their company), how to brainstorm, had workshops for the different directors roles of which we are very thankful to those who gave their time and shared their expertise with the students.
The Challenge of the day was to create a product or service to help the disabled in the community and we were grateful to Ian for helping us to understand more about the difficulties disabled people face.
After a delicious lunch and a lot of discussions the teams were ready to give their presentations, which were judged from a business aspect as well as a disabled point of view. They had some amazing innovative ideas as well as professional and humorous presentations. Congratulations students for excellence in participation, and a huge thank you to those below for supporting our 2006 enterprising students.
