E day 2010
Enterprise Day 2010
| This year, 125 students representing Gore High School, James
Hargest College, Northern Southland College, Southland Girls’ High
School, Verdon College and Aurora College attended Southland E-Day
held at the Invercargill Workingmen's Club |
 |
E-Day is an important training day for students and this year we
were privileged to have Young Enterprise Scheme National Director,
Robyn Borne, in Invercargill to facilitate the day.
 |
A lot of information was covered at E-Day including the
opportunity for students to learn from local business leaders about
design, finance, marketing, communications and other challenges for
the road ahead, as they develop their ideas through to production
and sales.
|
Each YES company also had the opportunity to spend some time
developing their business concepts and pitching these ideas to
local business people.
 |
On behalf of all the students who attended E-Day, I wish to
give special thanks to our sponsors, guest speakers and business
coaches who all helped make E-Day such a success. |
This year’s competition is going to be fierce as YES companies
compete to represent Southland at the Lion Foundation Young
Enterprise Scheme National Awards in Wellington on the 3 November
2010. We are in for a very exciting year.
