Southland E Day 2011
Monday February 14

| Around 80 YES students representing James Hargest College, Southland Girls' High School, Verdon College, Fiordland College and Aparima College converged for this half-day conference held at the Invercargill Workingmen's Club. |
| Young Enterprise Scheme National Director, Robyn Borne, provided students with a lot of information including the opportunity for students to hear about the successes of previous YES students, got hints and tips about brainstorming and innovation, and learnt about the resources available to them. |
Local business leaders facilitated director seminars covering leadership, production, marketing, finance and communication. Each YES company also had the opportunity to spend some time developing their business concepts and pitching these ideas to local business people. |
On behalf of all the students who attended Southland E-Day, I wish to give special thanks to our sponsors, guest speakers and business coaches who all helped make E-Day such a success. This year's competition is going to be exciting as YES companies compete to represent Southland at the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme National Awards in Wellington on the 1 December 2011. |
