Mid Year Awards Details:

Best Oral Presentation:

Each company is offered the opportunity to give an oral presentation to the 'Dragon's Den' and compete for the Oral Presentation' Trophy.
Feedback from the panel will assist companies to develop their business plan and compete for the Best Business Plan Award.

The winning company receives$200 towards company start up. Rules and hints:

Best Business Plan.

All companies are invited to submit their written business plans for evaluation.
Evidence that the principles of sound business planning are being applied and presentation in a logical easy-to-read format will go a long way towards beginning a serious contender for this award.

The Most Innovative Market Strategy:

To qualify for this award companies will need to demonstrate a marketing strategy within the business plan plan that shows in an appealing, innovative and effective way that they will capture the imagination of the intended market.
The winning company receives a $300 Voucher for professional service redeemable from Market South

The Company with High Growth Potential:

The company with the best fast growth idea with the potential to yield over $100,000 annual revenue within five to seven years.
The winning company receives $400
towards their goal.

The Most Environmentally
Friendly Product or Service:

In order to qualify for this award, Companies will need to have a product or service that is made from recycled or environmentally friendly materials or a supply a product or service that significantly improves the environment or has a focus on the need to be environmentally friendly in what we do.

Best Product Stand:

Companies must erect displays for judging, presenting their products or service to those attending the evening. Orders can be taken on the night or products and services sold if they are available at the time.
This is a good practice for the Trade Fair to be held in July.

Business Card Design:

Every company is invited to take part in the regional Business Card Competition.
The Southland competition has been sighted as being the best in New Zealand.
The results and the printed cards are presented on the night of the mid-year awards.

Please Note:
The mid-year awards are mandatory if Companies which to participate the National and Regional Finials.
The oral presentation is part of the National Awards criteria (30%) and is judged according to criteria set out by Enterprise New Zealand Trust.
