End Of Year Regional Awards 2009
The Southern Group Training
Trust 2009 Young Enterprise Regional Awards were held at Elmwood
Gardens Wednesday 21 October.
There was a good turnout of supporters, family, friends, teachers,
mentors and associates from Invercargill and Gore.

Rhonda Bragg Southland Coordinator and Glenys McKenzie Manager
of The Southern Group Training Trust welcomed and opened the
evening by introducing Brendan Kerr President of the Brick and
Blocklayers Assn Southland, Former winner of the Silver Trowel for
Best New Zealand Bricklaying Apprentice and
Ex Head Boy Verdon College.

Anna McDonald of Southland Girls High School gave a presentation
on her experiences as a team member in the New Zealand challenge to
the 2009 FedEx International Trade
Challenge in Singapore. New Zealand gained 1st and second
placing.

gave a short talk each on their Y.E.S experiences throughout the
year followed by the presentation of awards.
