year

gala diner is held bi annually to celebrate Southland contribution
to the economy through Exports. This is organised by the Export
Forum committee and as it is such a prestige and popular event,
tickets need to be purchased early. The dinner is a fare of quality
local export food, an evening of entertainment and awards

Trades Qualification
Recognition
| Organised by a Chamber select committee and backed by Chamber
Southland’s Manufactures Trust this evening is held annually to
recognise the commitment and achievement of the trades training
qualifications by congratulating those that become trade persons

Young Enterprise
Scheme
|
The Y.E.S entrepreneur educational scheme is coordinated by the
Chamber in the Southland Region. The programme holds 2 awards
presentations each year. The mid year orals for presentation of
marketing, business plans and product development and end of year
awards in 8 categories of performance. more.... |

Newslink Customer Service Awards
Organised by the Eastern Southland Committee this annual event is
held in Gore as an awards evening to champion the business that has
demonstrated the best customer service in the Eastern Southland
region. Businesses are nominated by the public and at an unknown
time are called on by a mystery shopper who by a predetermined
formula makes the selection. This is open to all business to
participate but is a free evening for Chamber members.

The Southland Chamber Of Commerce has joined other Chambers
nationwide, to salute those Kiwis in business who give their
clients and customers awesome service.

Locals who have had inspirational business service from someone in
Southland can nominate them for one of the weekly New Zealand-wide,
MYOB Awesome Service Awards. Winners receive a big public pat on
the back, Chamber Of Commerce Membership and other rewards. The
awards originated as a reminder of how much we depend on Kiwis
doing a great job in business to support our day to day
lives.
Consider the next person you meet, who goes the extra mile to help
you out, or ensures your needs were catered to beyond
expectation.
