Southland Exporter of the year
 | A gala diner is held bi annually to celebrate Southland contribution to the economy through Exports. This is organised by the Export Forum committee and as it is such a prestige and popular event, tickets need to be purchased early. The dinner is a fare of quality local export food, an evening of entertainment and awards presentation. more |
Young Enterprise Scheme
| The Y.E.S entrepreneur educational scheme is coordinated by the Chamber in the Southland Region. The programme holds 2 awards presentations each year. Trades Qualification Recognition
| Organised by a Chamber select committee and backed by Chamber Southland’s Manufactures Trust this evening is held annually to recognise the commitment and achievement of the trades training qualifications by congratulating those that become trade persons and the businesses that sponsor them. more.... |  |
Newslink Customer Service Awards
Organised by the Eastern Southland Committee this annual event is held in Gore as an awards evening to champion the business that has demonstrated the best customer service in the Eastern Southland region. Businesses are nominated by the public and at an unknown time are called on by a mystery shopper who by a predetermined formula makes the selection. This is open to all business to participate but is a free evening for Chamber members.
Southlands Top Shop Awards
 | Southlands'Top Shop Awards are held in conjunction with RadioWorks Southland, to recongnise excellence and encourage high standards in the retail industries.
The inaugural presentations were held at a prestige breakfast, August 2005. |
The judging is done by mystery shoppers over a 4 week period scoring under the headings of: Shop Frontage, Condition of store interior, Products,Customer Services/Sales staff.
Entry is by alpplication in the categories of:
Self employed,Self employed + staff, Managed,Departmental, Hospitality/Entertainment
