S.I.T Incubator
| For those that were unable to attended the Business Incubator
BA5 evening on August 29,2006 I am sure you will have wished you
were there! We had a dozen or more entrepreneurs enthusiastically
sharing their business ideas with some very interested
professionals from the community. |
 |
The night was enjoyable and we look forward to another one early
next year.
First up we were mesmerised with Envious Photography (James Jubb)
what a talent he has, to be able to visualise different aspects of
his subjects.|
PhaseIll.com Web Design (Brandon Terekia) was an entertaining
presentation on what to look out for in web design, also how we can
monitor the “hits” from enquirers, then in turn direct them to
sales etc.
 |
After chatting over supper, we moved into tour mode and looked
around the Business Incubator and talked to those residents that
are just starting up their business, for example….
|
Margaret with her recipe revitalising ideas. Rebecca is taking
scrap booking by storm with great designs. Pip will help your
school to fundraise for those auspicious occasions. Matt with
another aspect of web pages and designs. Louise handed out surveys
for us to fill in, on our fitness levels and prodding us into
improving our well being with exercise & nutrition. Erin
informing us on muscular rehabilitation for injuries, using the
tranquillity and buoyancy of water. Averil talking about the health
aspect of our blood groups and how that sometimes determines
illnesses we have. Dean Crawford who is the inspiration behind
P.U.R.E. to bring physical fitness back to our schools and
encourage schools to participate in more sport under professional
guidance, which encourages our children to enthusiastically enjoy
sport.

The Rational Dress Company run by Heather McDiarmid was a great
hit with all the ladies and Heather adds the WOW factor to her
designs. Susan and Jon McDade from Tall Poppy Books have so many
wonderful books for all to read. Thank you to the S.I.T staff for a
wonderful evening and also all the entrepreneurs who shared their
dreams with us.
