The Eastern Southland Awards were held at Croydon Lodge Gore,
Friday July 14th whereDavid and his crew from Gore Liquorland were
worthy winners of the Chamber's annual Newslink-sponsored event.
After being nominated by a member of the public, they scored 46 out
of a possible 50 from our Easter Southland Mystery Shopper to be a
clear winner from Placemakers who finished runner-up with a score
of 44. And congratulations to our full list of nominees; Beyond the
Fringe (the Chamber's newest member), Bin Inn, Cafe Ambience,
Classic Interiors, La Hoods, Liquorland, Placemakers and Rices
Powerstore. A couple of special thanks to finish with - to Lisa
Turner and her crew at Newslink/Southland Times for their ongoing
support, the Mataura Licensing Trust's generosity again proved to
know no bounds with wonderful sponsorship and The Radio Network
(Hokonui Gold) for kindly providing part of our winner's prize
package.
