South Port Tour &
HSBC Southland Export
Grant Launch.

The first Event for 2009 was organised by the Southland Export Forum on February 12th with a tour of South Port combined with the launch of the HSBC Southland Export Trust Grants Scheme..

For Southland’s exporters and for Chamber members this was a great opportunity to find out more about the new export initiative and include a tour of the Southport facilities at Bluff.

The evening started with an informative tour of the port, including a look at newly opened facilities and some recent changes that have been made to cope with increased demand from the export sector.

The tour completed, South Port hosted members to the official launch of the HSBC Export Grants Scheme.

The briefing covered many aspects of the export operation and highlighted how the grants will become available to Southland business.

The grants are designed to be used in a wide range of ventures related to developing or improving Southlands’ export advantage...
