How come they are free?
The Government has made funding available to cover 5 approved topics.
Attendance is FREE to both EMPLOYERS and EMPLOYEES.
Who will deliver the presentations?
Two presenters will run each module:
One from the Employers' Association, and one from the Amalgamated Workers Union.
This joint presentation will help achieve a full understanding of all aspects of each subject, and will identify common workplace problems and how to fix them.
How long are the sessions:
Each session will be held in small groups and will be 2 hour sessions, run from 4.30pm to 6.00pm.
Summary notes will be provided to all participants, and light refreshments are included.
Do I have to attend all 5 to register?
No,
Each session stands alone as a single topic, but we encourage you to attend as many as possible. Previous training programmes of this type run in Otago and Southland have shown that participants are able to return to their workplaces and make immediate improvements, avoid costly disputes, and reinforce current best practice.
After attending these, can I get more indepth training?
Yes,
You could attend the subsidised day sessions.
