Export Certificates and other Documentation

Trading internationally
– whether exporting or importing –
It involves understanding a wide range of specific documentation,
some of which can be compulsory
|
 |
One of the key roles played by the Chamber of
Commerce Southland is to provide guidance and assistance with trade
documents.
Chamber Southland regularly provides certifications for over 45
countries related to Southland exports.
This includes Issuing:
Certificates of
Origin.
Customs authorities in certain countries require a Certificate of
Origin as verification that the goods being imported into that
country originate from the country claimed (eg. New Zealand).
We have developed certification procedure instructions which
explain what is required when having your trade documents certified
by us. More…..
There are several countries, many of which are based in the Middle
East, that require export documents to be legalised prior to
export. If you require assistance about the relevant organisations
involved in the legislation process please contact the Chamber.
Free Trade Agreements
(FTA)
China: NZ exporters seeking tariff preference under the NZ-China
Free Trade Agreement are required to have a China Free Trade
Agreement Certificate of Origin accompany their consignment.

an overseas market and taking samples or presentation material, an
ATA carnet will enable you to avoid paying duty.
This is best described as a passport for your items.
ATA Carnets are available as a business tool or for the
recreational user eg Motor bikes for touring, surf board and the
like. more.....
