China Free Trade Presentation
How can your business make the most of the NZ China Free Trade Agreement?
Presentation - Dunedin 9 – 10 June 2008.
 | The Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), in association with other government agencies involved with negotiating the FTA, are holding a two day presentation. These informative and interactive workshops will provide in-depth insight into the FTA and practical advice for business people considering entering the Chinese market. |
New Zealand made history by becoming the first OECD country to sign a comprehensive bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China. You will have heard about it, but may be asking “how does it affect me?” and “how can I benefit?”
This is your chance to learn about:
• The content and impact of the FTA from the people who negotiated and helped construct it.
• How to do business in China from people who have faced the challenge already.
Day One covers the content of the FTA and the impact on your business, with detailed presentations from the negotiating agencies about the impact on specific sectors. Day One is particularly relevant if you are already operating in China, or investigating China opportunities.
Day One
Ministerial Breakfast $30 + GST
New Zealand China FTA Implementation Seminar and Workshops No Charge
Day Two covers some of the challenges of doing business in China, introducing ways your company can build capability to make the most of the FTA. This is an ideal opportunity for you and your New Zealand based staff to learn about China without international travel. Day Two is particularly relevant if you want to know more about operating in and engaging with China, regardless of your level of China experience.
