AGM
The Annual General Meeting
The Chamber Southland AGM meeting format, has been simplified so that the meeting takes as little time as possible but yet achieves all the requirements of the democratic constitution.
No elections – well not at the AGM meeting.
No being put on the spot to take a position. This is often a reason to deter attendees, but no more.
Elections have been completed prior by either postal or electronic means.
The meeting is the place to declare the new Board and for those elected to take their place.
Interested in being a Board member.
Items covered at the AGM meeting will include:
Adoption of written reports.
Adoption of the auditored accounts
Election of Auditor for the next financial year.
Typically the meeting time would be 10-15 minutes unless there is any general business to be attended to.
By constitution any general business must be accepted in writing to the Chamber office 5 days prior to the AGM.
Notice of AGM.
The 2006-2007 AGM is to be held Thursday May 29th 2008.
