The Board is made up of 10 members and is comprised of 6 positions elected by the general membership with the addition of the Chair from each sectional committee. The Chair of these committees is elected by the relevant committee members.

The 2 longest sitting Board members, the Chair and vice Chair positions (4) are available for election each year from the general membership.
Any (employed) representative of a financial member of Chamber Southland may be nominated. Each financial member at the time of elections may vote once for each seat.
Nominations are called 21 day before the AGM and close 14 days before the AGM. Voting is prior to the AGM by electronic or postal vote as decided by the current Board Voting closes 24 hours before the AGM with the results announced at the AGM
